Elizabeth O’Roark’s The Summer series has been an absolute magical rollercoaster of emotions, turmoil and triumph! Each novel is another friend’s romance and O’Roark beautiful weaves together heartbreak, angst and understand to create a deep and meaning journey of self and romantic love. The Summer I First Saw You is a beautiful conclusion to this series, bringing contentment and peace to this group of friends. O’Roark’s writing is elegantly real and engaging, enriched by complicated characters and questionable situations. This story unfolds with care and understanding using time and situations to strength and test this deep and unrequited romance.

Harrison and Daisy are made for each other and their forbidden romance softly and slowly unfolds through the rediscovery of self and what truly makes a home. I have been waiting for their story, and O’Roark does a beautiful job bringing it to life with gentle and soft moments, humor and flirting, and sizzling chemistry! These two burn for the other and it is clear from page one, but O’Roark keeps us waiting until the combustion is at its most volatile. Through heated glances, imagination and some brotherly help these two finally take the final leap into each other’s arms and learn the truth about love and home. I adored each and every moment of their love story and this entire series has been a beautiful unfolding of truly love and the emotional obstacles that we all bring to the table.

Elizabeth O’Roark is a must read author for anyone that loves a bit more angst or tension in their romances. This series has been all ultimate slam dunk in my books! And I think each novel in this series has something for everyone. Ultimately each book can be read alone or out of order but reading each novel will definitely show the reader the lovely intertwining nature of each story and the friends that this series centers around!

Thank you so much to Valentine PR, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
