Always Practice Safe Hex by Juliette Cross

The Savoie Sisters are back and better than ever! Juliette Cross' Stay a Spell series gets richer and finer with each installment. Every book in this series is extremely engaging and really shows off Juliette's craft in the best light. Juliette's writing is sensual and sexy, full of well rounded characters and supported by a plot that can lend to the perfect backdrop for a romance to bloom.

The fourth installment in the Stay a Spell series finally gives us more insight on the grims through Gareth, who is a grimoire with telekinetic power. We were introduced to the budding tumultuous relationship between Livvy and Gareth in Walking in a Witchy Wonderland (a holiday short story collection) and after that little sneak peak I could not wait to get their full fledged "enemies" to lovers romance. This novel jumps off where their short story left us, with them forced to work together (and another partner) on a competition.

The initial lust between these two is off the charts which plays well into their banter and hesitation towards the other early on. But these two quickly learn that they have found their perfect match in the other and Juliette uses this to her advantage by creating a steamy chemistry that drives these two in their primal instincts. I absolutely adored Livvy, she is fun, smart and strong. Her character is very resilient and she has a way of charming everyone around her, and Gareth can definitely not resist her charms! Gareth is such a swoonworthy hero. He may at first come across as a bit misunderstood but after learning his background in foster care it is understandable why he keeps to himself. I really love that Gareth and Livvy move swiftly out of their misunderstandings of each other and start to build a relationship in trust. The way Gareth opens himself up to Livvy and feels comfortable telling her things is so endearing and the way Livvy trusts her body and soul over to Gareth is so sensual heartwarming. Juliette uses the sexual tension and the physical relationship between these two to explore their trust with each other as well as showing that they each understand each other on a base level. I love that Gareth recognizes early on that Livvy is his own. true mate and that he is protective of her without being too over baring. I love that Livvy realizes that her instincts towards Gareth should be trusted. I love that these two can not keep their hands off each other and that with each hand hold and intense look, Juliette conveys the strong depth of emotion that these two have for the other.

Juliette Cross also does a beautiful job continuing to develop and deepen the family and found family nature that the Savoie Sister's instill in their mates and their friends. I love that we see the male counter parts to our heroines spending time together and developing their own friendships with each other. The heart of all these novels really revolves around the support and understanding that these sisters provide for each other and how their mates support them in all ways.

I honestly can not give this book and this series enough praises! This is definitely a favorite paranormal romance series, and if you have not picked it up yet you absolutely must! Juliette Cross is a fantastic writer whose stories leap off the page and her writing just gets stronger and stronger with each new novel.

This is a must read novel in a must read series! If you love a steamy, enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity romance that features telekinetic bed play and bondage with a grim's monster than look no further. This paranormal world just continues to get richer and more fun with each installment!
