Falling Like Stars by Emma Scott

Falling Like Stars is a beautiful and heartfelt romance. Emma Scott interweaves two people's lives as they fall in love and learn to overcome toxicity and emotional pasts. Scott's writing is clear and elegant. Her characters are bright and effervescent. Her world is fairy tale romantic with the perfect undertones and gravity of the personal situations these characters are dealing with to create an elegant cocktail of reality. I was easily swept up into this story, the balance between romance, personal discovery and care, and the pull of chemistry beautifully worked together to create this delicious romance. This is my first true novel by Emma Scott, I have been meaning to read many of her novels but have not dug into them yet, I am glad to have read this romance as my introduction to Scott's work and I am looking forward to exploring her backlist.

This is a Hollywood set romance, and it is this fairytale of celebrity and lowly production assistant that really worked for me. I loved that our hero Zack never felt like an entitled celebrity, he was real and grounded. I love the the pull between Zack and Rowan is not just based on attraction but rather a recognition of two souls understanding the other. This novel is not all just sunshine and roses, it is rather a dance between these two as they explore their chemistry, take risks with each other, hurt each other, and learn to do better. This novel at times felt fast and then I would think back and realize how much had happened to these two as they learn to put themselves and their mental health first before taking the dive into a relationship. There is a softness and gentleness to how these two open themselves to the other and explore what could be and that is then met with a fierce sensuality that drives them head over heels for the other. This novel is gratifying and really helped to show that you have to constantly be working on yourself and if you learn to take the steps you need to love yourself then you can fully love and support someone else.

Zack is the perfect cinnamon roll hero to Rowan's witty and complicated self. These two met and continue to make the decisions to grow their acquaintance and in the end the both receive the ultimate love and understanding for who they both truly are! I would highly recommend this novel to anyone looking into exploring Emma Scott's works, or if you are an Emma Scott fan. I think that there is something that everyone will enjoy in this beautiful and caring romance.

Thank you so much to Valentine PR for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
