This second chance, best friends to lovers, footballer, single mother romance absolutely shines! Lex Martin’s writing is conversational and engaging in tone, her characters are clear and unique, and this romance is full of heart and love. I adored each moment of this novel and seeing these two people who have meant so much to the other, learn that they were always meant to be! Falling Stars is a wonderful second installment in the Wild at Heart series!

This is Baylee and Maverick’s romance. They are best friends, who have kinda lost their way amongst unrequited feelings and uncertainties. But when forced proximity of Baylee needing a place for her and her new born son and Mav needing sanctuary to recover from injuries, these two truly learn what it means to love and support each other. Mav is an absolutely swoonworthy hero, who embraces Baylee’s son basically as his own. I loved watching these two become parent together without even realizing it. I adored watching their chemistry spike and them finally needing to come to terms with their true feelings. My heart ached as they both tried to always put the other’s needs first even if it broke their own heart. This romance truly shines with heart, care and understanding, and Baylee and Mav are truly the perfect match for the other!

If these are tropes you love then do not wait to pick up this novel today! Lex Martin is a must read author for me who really shines in the footballer/single parent arena!
