Bella Matthews beautifully brings to life a romance that proves everyone is deserving of love, not matter your health, or your projected life expectancy. Sweet Temptation is a stunningly cathartic story that explores the fears of opening your heart up to the potential sorrows of love, but also learning to coop and fight for the wonder and magic that love brings. Matthews’s writing is clear, heart felt and understanding. Her characters are rich and evocative. This romance is equal parts life changing, humbling and melancholy. I was swept away in this gloriously romantic story, where loving someone will always out way and surpass the fears of what might be or what is to come.

Sweet Temptation is Lucky and Lexi’s romance, it is one of true love, built on love at first sight and strengthened through release, distance and longing. Lexi has Cystic Fibrosis, which has no cure, she will live each day with it, and she will pass because of it. Lexi has to go on this journey of learning that she is deserving of all facets of love and that she can’t deny the love of another. This romance is written with care and clarity, I was emotionally drawn to this love story and my heart broke and soared along every moment. Bella Matthews really shows that love is worth fighting for. It is worth loving someone not matter the length of time. And everyone is deserving of love. Matthews made me believe in true love, she made my heart ache for the hero and heroine who fight hard to overcome the fears that love brings, and I delighted in the understanding and trust these two give each other to live each day moment to moment and not to dread what may come, but to embrace the beauty of now.

This novel is so highly recommended by me. Don’t be afraid to shed some tears and have your heart strings pulled, Matthews will take care of you in the end, because love always wins!

Thank you to Bella Matthews and her team for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
