Julia Wolf absolutely dazzles with this third installment in The Kelly Ranch series. With small town charm, a single-father cowboy, and a bookworm librarian, Wolf has wrapped up this novel with so many delightful elements that immediately pull me into this romance. Wolf's writing is clear and engaging, her pacing is perfection, and her characters are rich and interesting! Hit the Ground was such a beautiful romance that explores how feelings can grow and develop when you are put in uncomfortable situations and take a risk.

Alice is such a charming and relatable heroine, she is smart and kind, and a bit of a wallflower, but when she decides to take a risk she is able to open herself up and embrace growth. Caleb is this strong and dedicated father, he things he has everything he could possibly want, but Alice is an unexpected element in his predictable life. Their romance is built in sweetness, understanding, and taking the time to learn who the other person truly is. I loved watching Caleb rediscover Alice in a new light after she opens his eyes. I loved that Alice is already such a strong presence and influence in Caleb's son's world and development. I loved that Wolf does not rush Caleb's awakening to Alice but builds it in the soft and gentle moments as he sees her take control of her life, as he explores her interests, and as he seeks out her opinions. Their romance is built upon a strong foundation of friendship and care, and I loved every single moment!

Julia Wolf is fast becoming a must read author for me! I would so highly recommend this novel, it was such a wonderful romance and the perfect weekend escape!

Thank you so much to Valentine PR for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
