Book Review

He has been in love with her and he knows now is his time to show her she means the world to him! Kaylee Ryan’s heroes are always the type to admit their feelings first and Trying Not to Need You begins with the hero already in love. Ryan’s writing is smooth and elegant, drawing the reader quickly into the world and understanding of who the characters are. This novel is the perfect cozy romance that you can curl up with and just fall in love!

Baylor and Macklin are at the center of this romance. This romance has that wonderful unrequited love coming into play. These two have been circling each other for years and it has never been the right time to explore what could be until now. I adore that Macklin, has been waiting for the right time, he knows what he wants, he is willing to go at her pace, and all he wants is to show her what an amazing woman she is! Baylor is at a transition in her life and needs to remind herself who she is and moving back home and learning her value beautifully blossoms alongside her rediscovery of attraction for Macklin. These two become the support that helps the other to flourish, and Ryan beautiful shows this in the quiet and calm moments of spending time together.

Low angst and the power of romance are what make Kaylee Ryan a go to author for me! Trying Not to Need You is a wonderful addition to the Moran Sisters series and I am looking forward to the next sister finding her HEA!

Thank you to Kaylee Ryan for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
