Kristen Proby continues to beautifully broaden the Williams/Montgomery brood with these second generation romances! Proby's writing is familiar, clear, has a lovely warmth to it that easily welcomes the reader into her stories. Proby's novels each can be read as standalones, but when read in order really open and broaden her universe into an endearing, heart warming, and funny family saga.
The Setup features a strong hero and heroine that have an instant connection. Their romance is built through an openness to explore and have fun with each other, they both fall swiftly in love because they are able to easily trust the other. Proby beautifully illustrates their implicit trust of the other through sweet touches, their desire to be with the other, and the safety net they feel in each other presence. I love that they both have things in common, and that they both respect the other and what they do. This novel is sweetly sensual, these two definitely explore the physical side of their relationship.
If you are a lover of Proby's work you are sure to enjoy this novel. If you are looking to explore Proby's works I would definitely recommend starting at the top of a series, you will be sure to enjoy the community of support she build around each romance.
