All Too Well by Corinne Michaels

Book Review

Small town charm glistens off the page in Corinne Michaels newest series! Michaels elegantly weaves her words to create an endearing second chance, single father, it’s always been you romance. Michaels gently brings to life this small town romance and imbues it with interesting and relatable characters and the slice of life charm this story needs. This romance is beautifully paced, has strong central and secondary characters and reads like a love letter to the genre. Michaels does a wonderful job creating this uplifting and low angst novel and I am so delighted to watch this series grow!

This romance centers around Lachlan and Ainsley, he is her brother’s best friend and they have also had their own complicated friendship which has suffered from 4 years of no communication. Their dynamic is interesting and they have both been in love with the other for a long time but neither wanted to get in the other way. Their romance is given the perfect opportunity to bloom under the enchantment of Ember Falls and the community around it. I loved watching their relationship slowly regrow and it is obvious the care and understanding these two need to rebuild with each other. I adored that this novel really showed Ainsley standing up and advocating for herself and their relationship. I loved that even thought he might make a couple of missteps, Lachlan learns that things don’t have to be all or nothing and that fighting and compromising for love is not a weakness. Their romance softly sizzles as they their trust rebuilds and having Lachlan’s daughter Rose as a guiding force and character is really sweet as Lachlan and Ainsley discover what they could be together.

Corinne Michaels has been a must read author be me for a long time. I really enjoyed this beginning to her new series, and I love that the tone has a lightness and care. I highly recommend this novel as a great starting point for any new readers as well as a new favorite for fans!

Thank you so much to Corinne Michael and her team for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
