Book Review

Blood King is a second vicious and sensual installment in Natalie King’s Kings of Vegas series. King beautiful walks the line of insta love, brotherhood, justice and violence while skirting the line of what a morally grey hero looks like in a world that is not just good or evil. Kane’s writing is clear, engaging and fast past. Blood King will keep you on the edge of your seat, it will make you hope, it will break your heart, and it will show you than people are complicated and trusting your heart is often better than trusting your eyes.
Natalie King’s mafia romances still have that layer of charm and obsession that I adore in Kristen Proby’s writing while still exploring the grittier underbelly of human nature, power, greed and violence. King does not shy away from the cruelty of mafia bosses who have let greed and power control them. I loved seeing Julian and Natasha fall head over heels, I loved that Natasha sees what true men look like as she learns Julian’s true nature and the brotherhood he has built. Tho book is sexy and sensual, and the. So heart breaking when misunderstanding and betrayal try and tear this new and tentative relationship apart.
If you are looking to start your mafia romance journey, I would highly recommend Natalie King and this series! It is a wonderful ride and I am so excited to watch the rest of the kings fall head over heels!
Thank you to Natalie King and her team for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
