Book Review

Small town, second chance, cowboy fun is exactly everything you will get with Holly Renee's Cowboy Casual, the first installment in The Calloway Ranch series. This is my first Holly Renee novel and it will certainly not be my last. Renee's writing is charming and banter filled, with delicious characters who easily inhabit the world around them. This novel is delightfully balanced and brings this unrequited love sweetly back to life!
Avoidance turns to banter when Blair is back home and comes face to face with the one who got away, Colt, who is now a single father who still pines for the spunky and sassy Blair. There is a lightness and ease to this romance, and the chemistry between Colt and Blair is quickly palpable and relatable. An additional layer of charm really lies in the world and characters that surround Colt and Blair creating a sweet small town community that will become the foundation of this series. This romance is lighthearted and sweet, creating a lovely escape for a cozy reading day.
If you are looking for an escape and love Holly Renee, I think you are sure to love this novel. I found this novel to be a wonderful introduction to Renee's work and I am looking forward to exploring her backlist and where this series will grow.
Thank you to Valentine PR for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
