Book Review

Sweet Addiction is a beautiful push and pull of unrequited love, misunderstanding, guarded dislike, and a second chance at embracing true love. Bella Matthews's shines in this well paced romance, with beloved characters, and her ever expanding universe. Matthews's writing is clear and conversational in a way that works really well in contemporary romance. Sweet Addiction is a well balanced romance that really explores the emotional journey and discovery it takes to move past misconceptions and fully embrace and trust in someone else.
Dillian and Rome are two people who have mistaken each others intentions for the past two years. After an explosive night of passion, a misunderstanding drives them apart. Some unfortunate circumstances and a bit of blackmail work as the catalyst to bring these two back together. Forced proximity, sizzling chemistry, and knowing each other's biggest secrets create the perfect foundation for these to reignite the flame they carry for each other. I really love that Bella Matthews takes the time and care to rebuild these two together, I loved watching the small moments in which they opened up to the other, they took a chance, and they learn to understand. This romance is soft and sweet at its heart, but it is full of big and possessive feelings. I love they they both are able to provide a supportive shoulder to relay on and help each other find their own independence and strength inside themselves.
Sweet Addiction is a lovely new addition to Bella Matthews world and definitely a must read for any Matthews fan! This novel can easily be read as a stand alone and will leave you curious about all the various secondary characters and if they have found their happily ever afters yet.
Thank you so much to Bella Matthews and her team for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
