Peterson's third installment in the Harbour Village series was the perfect romantic escape. Peterson's characters are delightfully draw in humor, clarity and depth. Through strong and interesting characters, this character driven story charms and entertains. Peterson's writing is conversational and clear with a lovely balance of humor, heart and emotion. Jessica Peterson is a fairly new author to be but I have truly been enjoying her work and I am so excited to continue exploring her backlist and watching her writing continue to grow.
This brother's best friend, bad boy/good girl romance truth strength lies in the beautiful characters at is center. Abel and Jen are such a perfect match, and I loved that both are already in love with the other. These two learn that they are the perfect compliment to the other, that they trust each other, work well together, and have chemistry that sizzles off the charts. Humor and heart infuses the pages as each moment and interaction just adds more strength and tension between them until they both gain the confidence to ask and fight for what they really want!
If you are looking for a perfect summer read that will deliver on the spice and the romance, then look no further than this novel. I definitely recommend this wonderful treat and believe you will fall in love with this kind and caring couple!
