Mad Love by Willow Aster

Willow Aster beautifully breathes life into her newest series that is a spin off from Landmark Mountain. Aster imbues this work with humor, heart, friends and family. Her trademark priorities are front and center and help to craft this newest world expansion with everything I have come to expect from her works. Aster’s writing is comfortable, her characters are clear and the and the strength of friends, family and love is always the focus. The Single Dad’s Playbook series is starting off with a bang for me and I cannot wait to see this series grow and these new found friends to find their happily ever afters.

Willow Aster does not shy away from difficult situations but rather shows the perseverance of the human spirit. Mad Love is the story of Weston, a football player who discovers that he has a son, and Sadie, the aunt who has just lost her sister. This story is about discovery. It is a story about learning to trust. It is the story of unconditional love. Aster uses care and clarity to build a tentative relationship between Weston and Sadie as they both learn to navigate a new normal. But through work and openness these two learn to build bridges and to mend misunderstandings as they create a normal for Caleb. This story has moments of sorrow, hope, sensuality and joy that give heart to this budding romantic relationship alongside the unexplainable love of a parent. Aster brings the reader along for this ride, and with care and understanding this novel is a beautiful new edition to her works! Weston is a hero to swoon over and Sadie is a heroine to champion and in the center is Caleb a charming baby who helps to bring these two together.

Willow Aster is the perfect author if you are looking for a romance that is low on angst but full of heart and support. Her works always leave me with a feeling of contentment and I adore watching the interconnections and character cameos that make her world grow. Definitely do yourself a favor and pick up this or another Aster novel today!
