Never Been Worse is such a fun, humorous and romantic marriage of convenience! This novel starts with a bang with our heroine and her friends being arrested after glittering her ex’s yard out of revenge and it doesn’t slow down from there! Morgan Elizabeth is quickly becoming an author I will immediately pick up! This is the second novel I have read by her and I fell quickly head over heels for this story. Elizabeth’s writing and a ln ease and clarity to it that makes engaging with the story immediate and her pacing beautiful slips from moment to moment keeping her readers turning page after page. At the heart of this novel are clear and well rounded characters who find the humor in life, are willing to take a chance, and leap into possibilities!
Harper and Wes have known each other for a few years but have never really gotten the chance to know each other. When the opportunity of a marriage as a distraction from Wes’s band and Harper’s current reputation they both take a leap together. This novel is sensual and romantic! Wes has always been intrigued by Harper and now that she is his wife he is able to romance and prove to her that a relationship is worth the risk. I love that these two really develop a solid foundation of friendship, I love that their chemistry is off the charts, I love that they truly support the other. Wes is the perfect hero from Harper, he fights alongside her, he does not try and clip her wings. I love that these two take their relationship day by day and that they don’t question their feelings but truly embrace them.
If you are looking for a sexy romance with a side of revenge then Never Been Worse is right up your alley. I would highly recommend this novel and Morgan Elizabeth! I am so excited to continue to explore her novels and watch her writing grow!
