Pretty Rings and Broken Things is a modern day marriage of convenience romance done to perfection! If you are looking for a book that feels like a soft, warm and comforting hug, then look no further. Kat Singleton shines through thoughtful characters, a well paced story, and a romance that is wholeheartedly swoon worthy! Singleton’s writing is clear and accessible, her tone is comforting and romantic, and her world blossoms with the slow nurturing of love and trust. I was easy swept up into this romance and I fell in love right along with the main characters!
Archer and Winnie are two peas in a perfect pod. Their story of falling in love is one that builds slowly as they learn more about the other and spend time together. Even though their marriage is one they are forced to enter into, I love that anger or bitterness is not part of their story. I love that this story really focus so them both accepting the situation they are in and finding a way to put their best foot forward. This romance is so sexy and sensual, it is absolutely heartwarming, and truly I felt fully embraced by their love that my heart was left filled with hope and joy. Singleton does a beautiful job of showing how two people can softly and sensually fall in love, who two people can chose to trust each other, how two people can fully support the other, and how two people can be stronger together.
If you are looking for a low angst love story and is so charming and delightful then this novel is sure to work for you! I adored this love story and would so highly recommend this novel and others by Kat Singleton!
