Book Review

Jessica Peterson’s Lucky Ranch series has truly been such a delight! This fifth installment balances humor, heart, and romance perfectly while exploring what it means to risk yourself for love! Peterson’s writing shines with clarity and understanding, her world is rich and engrossing, and then at the heart are two genuine people who want what everyone desires love and comfort. Peterson explores the resilience of the human spirit as it works through grief and hope and learns to understand that you cannot lock away your emotions if you truly want to love an enriching life!
At the forefront of this story we have Billie who has been infatuated with Ryder from youth and she is not afraid to show it and speak her mind. Billie is determined, smart, kind, and not afraid to take a risk. It is Billie’s wild and open soul that slowing beings to draw Ryder out of his shell and past the wall of protection he has built around his heart. This romance is really Ryder’s journey of learning to push past fear, take a risk, and love with his full heart. Peterson puts these two together with grace, sensuality, and determination. The strength of their romance is built by choosing to always be there for the other and let nothing get in their way!
Watching these brother’s friend their love stories has been something truly beautiful! Jessica Peterson beautiful explores how love is always worth the risk and reward! I would highly recommend giving each novel in this charming series a go!
