Snowed In at the Cabin is a low angst, fast paced, insta-love romance that is easy to cozy up with an devour on a winter's evening. K.P. Knupp is a new author to me, and I found her writing to be gentle and easy to engage with, her tone is clear, and her characters are understanding and relatable. This novel is over all a soft love story where any conflict or issues are outside of the developing relationship.
I definitely decided to pick up this novel and give this author a chance because I absolutely adore a snowed in trope! The forced proximity and crazy tensions that can be enriched in this setting are something I just eat up. I think Knupp does a decent job at utilizing this trope and over all the story is enjoyable and a quick read. I did feel like I was left a bit wanting in the sexual tension department, Alexandria and James too easily fall into bed and I just wanted a bit more showing of their attraction and need to not keep their hands from the other. As characters these two are good, Alexandria is definitely growing into her own personal independence and learning to re-embrace what she loves, and James is a strong minded billionaire business man who does not flaunt his knowledge and wealth. Overall the situations and story line is one that is entertaining, I just was missing a bit of the showing of feelings and tension to really help me fall head over heels for their romance.
Snowed In at the Cabin is sure to be an enjoyable read to anyone looking for a quick and fun escape and looking for something with low relationship angst.
