The Muse is exactly the emotionally rich journey I have come to know and expect from Jewel E. Ann! This novel will invite you and and take hold, keeping you connected and engage until the very last page. Ann will test your understanding of emotional boundaries and expectations as she explores unique situations to create the world around the romance. I always know to expect a bit of the unexpected, and to open my heart to any and all possibilities with Ann's novels, and I was not disappointed! Ann's writing is clear, evocative, and full of depth as she weaves this story to life and carefully explores depression, uncertainty and regrowth.

Flynn and June are immediately drawn to the other. They are both as this turning point in their lives and they meet at this time of change. I loved watching how they explore their relationship, grow together, and open themselves up to the unknown. In the periphery of their relationship is Flynn's job as a Muse, and this job is one that has some delicate considerations, and really tests Flynn to learn more about compassion for others and examine his own past to understand who he wants to be. I really love that June finds a safe place in Flynn to rediscover herself and better understand who she is now in her life and what she wants for the future. Their love story is not simple, it is not straight forward, it is one that is challenging and hard, but is is absolutely worth fighting for!

If you love a story that will challenge you to understand the power of love, Jewel E. Ann is the author for you. If you are not afraid to shed a tear, be a little frustrated, but continuously root for the HEA, The Muse is a wonderful novel to add to your TBR.
