Sweet Surrender is a delightful addition to the Love & Legacy series by Bella Matthews! Matthews's ever expanding universe is one of deep friendship and family, and amazing love stories! Matthews has this beautiful way of balancing the fairytale magic of falling in love with the realities of the world. Matthews writing is engaging, relatable, and feels like a warm hug. I find each Matthews novel to be sweetly romantic, and the perfect way to spend an evening. If you are looking for love, a mastery of trope usage, and the humor of nosy families, then Bella Matthews is the author for you!

This best friend's brother, "hate" to love romance, shows that fine line of misunderstanding or protection that keeps people apart. This love story is Jamie and Ashton's and it is one kept apart by grief and misunderstanding. But when a chance encounter, and a major unexpected change in life occurs Ashton and Jamie's love story is able to final go head to head and fully come to fruition. Jamie and Ashton are an unrequited love story that has been pulled apart by time and circumstances, but now is their time to shine! I loved watching these two come together, support each other, and fall even more deeply in love. I adore that Jamie is all in with Ashton, her new reality of needing to be her baby sister's mother, and the unexpected pregnancy from their one night of snowed in passion. These two learn to communicate again, they learn to trust each other, they learn to support each other, and they decided that it is time for them to move on from the past so they can flourish in the future.

This romance is a beautiful journey of forgiveness and hope, I loved watching these two fall, I loved seeing adore Kroydon Hills favorites, and I loved how Matthews interweaves some larger than life situations but presents them in a clear and relatable way. I will always pick up a Bella Matthews novel, know that I will be wrapped in the comfort of a warm hug of a romance!
