Willow Aster has crafted a fun, banter filled, sensual escape in her new novel and new series! Aster is an author I will always reach for. She crafts this wonderfully delightful small town escapes with a strong central family who can drive the series. Her series also have charming connections really broadening and enriching her ever expanding universe. Aster’s writing is lively, balancing humor and heart, she does not shy away from difficult topics but approaches them with care and clarity. Take This Heart is the start to this new series set in Windy Harbor, Minnesota and features this large family and the renovation of a plot of land that will create family and tourist activity in the area. I love this set up, it is fun and exciting. Then Aster’s characters are interesting and enrich the story with a cozy and comforting feel that I know this series is going to be one that I delight in escaping into.

This novel opens with a sizzle with Milo and Goldie starting off on the wrong foot and the tension just crackles. These two banter and challenge each other in such fun and delightful ways as they battle their attraction. I loved watching this dance of like and dislike, especially as Milo is just this sweetheart who is so attracted to Goldie he can almost not see straight. Aster paces their story well balancing their uncertainty and angry to feelings of attraction and love. And Milo and Goldie just spark off each other. Their relationship is sensually physical and their growth and understanding of each other is rich and full of learning and exploring. Their relationship just felt like this cozy hug, this small town made excited to see this series grow, and I was just delighted by this new chapter in Aster’s world!

Anyone who loves a small town, banter filled romance, please pick up this fun and sexy novel! Willow Aster is an author for you if you love a cozy, low angst romance that focuses on the relationship and the strengthening of that relationship.
