Kat Singleton is quickly becoming a must read author for me. I have been absolutely charmed by her current Sutten Mountain series. Tempt Our Fate, the second and most recent installment and it is a sexy and delightful addition to this small town! Singleton's writing is balanced, charming and funny. She is able to quickly draw the reader in, her novel is well paced and the draw of this small town is rich and palpable. Singleton also easily engages well loved tropes to bring this world and characters to life and I loved getting to know the people and this town.
This is the love story between Pippa, a bakery owner and lifelong resident of Sutton, and Camden, an out of town Billionaire. This fish out of water romance is also an age gap, "enemies" to lovers style build. Readers are also gifted with many other delights in this sweet and fun romance through fantastic caretaking, beautiful tension and a growing pining, two people learning that the line between hate and love is not always that far apart. It was really fun getting to watch these two navagate each other, learn how to open up and trust the other, and give into something that is worth fighting for. I also adored the fact that Singleton is able to give the reader some glimpses into characters for her recent other books, helping to broaden this world and her universe.
Tempt Our Fate is a definite must read in my opinion. Kat Singleton is a must read author for any contemporary romance lover. This novel although the second in a series can be read as a stand alone, and will only make you want to go back and read the romances of other characters that you see in supporting roles!
