The Rosewood River series by Laura Pavlov has truly been a highlight over the past year (or so)! Pavlov beautifully and lovingly brings this family series to its conclusion in Whisper Sweet Nothings. Laura Pavlov's clear and conversational tone wrap this small town, single dad, nanny romance up with care, comfort, and compassion. Pavlov's writing is engaging, delightfully paced, and the perfect final happily ever after for the Chadwick family. You will easily fall in love with this small town, full of family charm, and friendships that are ever lasting.
Winnie, Archer and Melody find their slice of happily ever after in this romance that will make you believe in true love and the power of found family. I am always a sucker for a nanny and single father romance, I love seeing the way and author will play off these tropes and build a strong family unit that has to take a child's perspective into consideration. Pavlov beautiful creates the foundation for this romance in the strong and immediate connection that Winnie and Melody have with each other. It is their bond that sits at the center of this love story, and what makes Winnie and Archer finally giving into their attractions feel like the perfect cathartic release. I adore that Winnie is not just a nanny that she is a strong independent woman who is seeking her truth, as an author, as a friend, and as someone who will not let other determine what is best for her. It is truly beautiful watching Archer support Winnie in her writing career and love her for the women she is, and for how she has embraced his daughter. This romance is truly about finding that strength in yourself and others, being brave to stand up for what you need, and supporting those you love with everything you have.
I loved falling in love right all with Winnie, Archer, and Melody. I loved that these three find each other and make each other better. Rosewood River has been a series of true joy, one that is worth spending all the time reviling in, and one that I am a bit sad to leave. But I know that I will be just excited to fall in love with the next group of people Pavlov will introduce me to!
Thank you so much to Valentine PR for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
