Worth the Wait is a rerelease of K. Bromberg’s previously titled Combust. This rebranding is a lovely idea to introduce new readers to this series, and it for sure worked for me. This novel is an emotional journey, one of personal growth, one of learning to trust, and one of fighting for something worth something. Bromberg’s writing is clear, accessible and sensual. Worth the Wait, is the second in a series, but I found it to be easily read as a standalone and is a really lovely start to exploring Bromberg’s works.

This romance is between Dylan and Brady, two people who have some tragic pasts, two people just trying to make it day to day, two people who are struggling with self image and worth. I really enjoy that Bromberg is able to parallel the journey that both Dylan and Brady are on, while providing them both with a support team in each other. Sometime is takes the nudge of another person to help you truly see who you are, and these two really provide the perfect push for the other. I love that banter and conversation leads these two to open themselves up to the other and builds this strong foundation of support that blossoms into emotions and feelings.

Bromberg is a contemporary romance writer who will easily charm you and take you on a lovely and romantic journey, with a strong hero and a wonderful heroine. Definitely give this novel a read if you love a firefighter romance, a hero who loves the heroine and all her curves, and a heroine who knows scars are just as sexy as abs!

Thank you to Valentine PR for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
