Echoes of You by Catherine Cowles

Updated: May 2, 2023

Catherine Cowles continues to impress and amaze me. The Lost & Found series is an absolutely beautiful series that focuses on the strength of found family, friendship, and the trust and understanding that is built with your soul's perfect mate. Cowles has the way of using care understanding around her characters, she shows this through who they are and the life situations that have helped to craft who them. Cowles' writing is clear, engaging and well paced. Her characters are rooted in real life situations, and grow beautifully through the support system they have around them. Cowles beautifully weaves together suspense with a stunning romance that is heart and strength of the novel. If you have never picked up a Catherine Cowles' romance I would highly suggest doing so as soon as you can! The Lost & Found series is a really lovely place to start (as are all her other series) and I find them really alluring read in order because we see many characters slowly blossom as each takes more center focus with their dedicated romance.

Echoes of You is a best friends to lovers romance, that is full of unrequited love, a strong friendship with a sturdy foundation of trust, and a stunningly romantic relationship that is built by a deep and abiding understanding of the other. I absolutely loved both our hero (Nash) and heroine (Maddie). We see how these two are absolutely meant for the other and when they are together they are so strong and supportive of the other. I love that the supportive characters also provide safety for both hero and heroine. They help to show both of them that being truthful about their feelings is vital for their happiness. Catherine Cowles also does a wonderful job using physical expressions of love to show how comfortable that these two are together. I love that small touches, the way they hold each other and the safety they feel in sleeping in the other arms is a comfort and stability they have had since they were children and it has only grown in strength as they have gotten older.

Catherine Cowles is a must read author for me, she is wonderful and only gets better and better with each novel. Nash and Maddie are the perfect pair and their romance makes my heart warm and full. This novel is built with care around Maddie and her past, she has an abusive father and has just gotten out of a physical and emotionally abusive relationship. There is also a level of understanding that Cowles builds between Maddie and Nash that is full of support, caring and protection. Catherine Cowles has a really endearing way of crafting her character and plot lines that work so beautifully together for me.

Do yourself a favor and read this series! I can not recommend this book or Catherine Cowles enough.

Thank you so much to Catherine Cowles for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
