Forbidden King by Laura Pavlov

If you love a brother's best friend romance then Laura Pavlov's new release is sure to charm and delight you! I easily fell in love with both Saylor and King and have just been loving this ride or die brotherhood in Pavlov's Magnolia Falls series. Pavlov has done a beautiful job crafting a brotherhood that is strong and full of heart. Pavlov's writing is clear and engaging, her characters and situations leap off the page, and her words are full of care and heart. Each character in this brotherhood is worth rooting for and championing and I have loved watching each brother find his perfect match!

This is a brother's best friend romance has the perfect layers of chemistry and tension and the underlying understanding of it’s always been you. I absolutely adored watching these two finally give into their feelings and take a chance on the unknown. Pavlov does a wonderful job establishing and showing the reader the depth and friendship that Saylor and King have for the other. They trust and respect each other in a way that has built from their youth and this only gives an additional layer to their understanding of each other. I love that Saylor pushes King to take a leap and I love the respect that King shows Saylor every step of the way. The chemistry sizzles and ignites and Pavlov does a wonderful job moving this relationship of friendship into a more physically intimate space. This romance is beyond wonderful, and seeing two people who are already each other’s safe spaces become more is exactly what I could hope for. (I also love that the tension between King and Saylor’s brother is short lived and not about King not being good enough.)

If these are tropes you love you are sure to enjoy this novel. I definitely recommend this novel, this series and this author!
