Steal My Heart is equal parts sweet and sizzling romantic energy! Laura Pavlov hits this new series out of the park and I am so excited to see all the Holloway brothers get their happily ever afters! I adored Pavlov's most recent series (Magnolia Falls) and I love how she has beautifully blended that series into this one. Pavlov gives us a special treat and we get to see some very beloved characters make a deliciously charming cameo in this one (and I hope we still get to see them throughout). Pavlov's writing is enriched with banter, charming situations, and two people with intense chemistry and attraction. Steal My Heart is a well paced, small town, co-workers, boss's daughter romance and I loved every moment of it!
Easton and Henley are truly the perfect pair. Both are strong willed, independent, focused and hard workers. Even though they are both very career driven it is obvious that family and friendship are a huge priority to them and they do find ways to balance their long work days with fun. These two have chemistry for the first meeting and even though there is a slight appearance that Easton will only look at Henley as the privileged daughter of his boss, he quickly learns she is just as driven and focused as him. Outside of work they are both also compatible in their recreational activities which makes them a truly well balanced couple who can support each other. I love that Pavlov takes the time for these two to build a friendly relationship before jumping into a physical or romantic one. I also love that Pavlov shows the struggles of past trauma, the advocation for therapy, and the understanding of communication to guide the ups and downs of their relationship. Past the perfect mental demeanor, these two sizzle with sensual tension. Pavlov eloquently shows and explores their physical relationship beautifully and balances it perfectly within the story to show the deepening of their feelings through the development of the physical.
I loved Steal My Heart and would very highly recommend this novel and this author! I was easily swept into the story and was delighted that it met my exceptions following the end of Pavlov's last series. If you are looking to read Pavlov for the first time this is a beautiful place to start!
Thank you so much to Valentine PR for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
