Book Review

Ava Hunter's Tis the Season for a Cowboy is an emotional and cathartic Holiday romance, that will show you the Holiday season can be full encompassing of all facets of emotions. Hunter's tone is understanding and open, she weaves together past and present with fluidity in order to build this second chance/marriage in trouble romance. Hunter embraces the melancholy feelings (much like the Christmas Song—Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Blue Christmas) which explore these feelings when it comes to the closing of a calendar year and reflection upon our lives and loses.
This romance is one that I fully embraced, definitely go into this novella with the understanding that this will be the exploration of a relationship that has had the devastation of a lost pregnancy that has brought them to this point in their life. Hunter proves that true love never dies, and that someone who loves you with every depth of their being will always be there for you. Hunter shows it is okay to process your grief in different ways, it is okay to take a pause, and it is okay to hope and ask for what you need. Hunter beautifully weaves together heart ache, moments of levity, and the hope of the season to bring breathe back into this relationship, and I loved this journey.
If you love to feel fully invested in your couple, their well being, and seeing them find their HEA, this Holiday treat will absolutely be for you!
Thank you so much to Ava Hunter and her team for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
